&lt;p&gt;Single power through the whole lens for distance vision and those who don't need reading glasses. This is the most popular option. For those under age 40, single vision is the best option.&nbsp; For those over 40, see our FAQ page on why this may also be the best option for you.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Corrects for distance and reading only. Nothing in between.&nbsp; Distance is considered 2 feet or more.&nbsp; Reading is considered 6 to 12 inches.&nbsp; With bifocals, you’ll lose that in between range of 12 inches to 2 feet.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For those that have a prescription for both distance and reading, progressive “bifocals” allow you to see every possible range. There is also no visible line.&nbsp; The downside to progressives is that you have a more limited range of vision in each “zone”. Basic progressives will have less peripheral vision and the transition between each distance of power may be more choppy forcing larger head movements to see objects more clearly.&nbsp; All progressives require measurements. &nbsp;Frames will be sent to you first to get measured and will not come with the prescription lenses installed. You then need to send it back to us with measurements for fulfillment of prescription lenses. &nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

You then need to send it back to us with measurements for fulfillment of prescription lenses. &nbsp;If you want the best progressive technology but don’t need to maximize distance (for safety eyewear or other more every day use eyewear), please let us know and we can make that switch for you.&nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Transparent/Clear lenses for indoors, night or all around use when you don't want sunglasses.&nbsp; High quality, name brand premium lenses. High Impact Resistance, lightweight and thinner than regular plastic lenses.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tinted to be sunglasses.&nbsp; Gray is neutral and good for those with light sensitivities and those wanting true color perception. Will seem the darkest of all the tints. Good general purpose lens.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tinted Brown is for high contrast/depth perception but does change color perception.&nbsp; Good for ball sports with white balls like baseball and golf, or for mountain biking or trail running in and out of trees. Can go from overcast to bright days.&nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Optifog helps lenses resist fogging.&nbsp; The Optifog product with TD2 Scratch coating with a 2 year scratch warranty.&nbsp; Coating is on both sides of the lenses. This fog coating works in conjunction with an activator cloths that last for about a week. There is no distortion or loss of vision with this activator versus other spray or gel type defoggers. This coating can only be added to clear lenses. No tints or photochromic lenses.&nbsp;&nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Our basic fog coating is applied only to the backside of the lenses only and helps to reduce fogging. It is only available on polycarbonate lenses, and can only be made on certain prescription powers/strengths. &nbsp;It also includes a backside scratch coating.&nbsp; It doesn't have to be reactivated. Since it is a low end coating, it does have the tendency to break down faster.&nbsp; Cannot be combined with any other coatings.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Basic anti-reflective coating to prevent distracting glare off lenses. Most effective on clear or Transitions lenses.&nbsp; Higher end (Crizal) anti-glare coating is used when combined with fog coating. Higher end coatings include oleophobic and hydrophobic properties&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Digitally (HD) manufactured lenses create a wider field of view in focus as well as less errors and aberrations across the lens. Analogous to HDTV versus standard definition TV. Upgrade can be added to any standard lenses (i.e clear, transitions, etc.)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Applied on inside only. Can only be added to Shamir Branded lenses which includes Digital Free Form Technology. This is why the price will see much greater than any of the other coatings.&nbsp; Includes Anti-Reflective Coating. No reactivation needed.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Mirror coating makes lenses a little darker. &nbsp;Color of mirror is purely cosmetic (how it looks from the outside or how people see it on you)&lt;/p&gt;
