Recommendation

For those that have a prescription for both distance and reading, progressive “bifocals” allow you to see every possible range. There is also no visible line.  The downside to progressives is that you have a more limited range of vision in each “zone”. Basic progressives will have less peripheral vision and the transition between each distance of power may be more choppy forcing larger head movements to see objects more clearly.  All progressives require measurements.  Frames will be sent to you first to get measured and will not come with the prescription lenses installed. You then need to send it back to us with measurements for fulfillment of prescription lenses.

Sport Progressive offer a very wide area for distance vision including the best possible peripheral vision.  The areas for intermediate and near are intended more to read a phone or change a flat tire.  The zones will be narrower for the 6 inch to 18 inch range.  Our “Best” progressives feature HD digital free form technology. Progressives require measurements.  Frames will be sent to you first to get measured and will not come with the prescription lenses installed. You then need to send it back to us with measurements for fulfillment of prescription lenses.  If you want the best progressive technology but don’t need to maximize distance (for safety eyewear or other more every day use eyewear), please let us know and we can make that switch for you.  

High quality, name brand premium lenses. High Impact Resistance, lightweight and thinner than regular plastic lenses.

Tinted gray or brown.  Gray is neutral and good for those with light sensitivities and those wanting true color perception. Brown is for high contrast/depth perception but does change color perception.

Polarized lenses have extra glare filter to control glare from horizontal surfaces such as water, sand, road, etc. Gray is more neutral to  look through and &quot;seems&quot; darker.  Good for spectators at sporting events, deeper water fishing, and those who want the darkest lens possible.

Transitions lenses change color. Clear indoors and at night, tinted sunglasses outdoors during the day. We currently use Transitions Signature (VII) lenses, the newest generation of Transitions lenses.

Brown increases contrast and depth perception. Green gives truest color perception while also increasing contrast.

Comes with activating drops (one year supply).  Coating stays activated for a few days, and you can rejuvenate the coating with the drops.  Coated on both sides of the lenses (unless you order a mirror or anti-reflective coating--then it is backside only).  Can be added to any tints and mirror coated lenses including photochromics.   If you order a lens that cannot be coated with the specified coating you order, we will substitute for this brand.  

Digitally (HD) manufactured lenses create a wider field of view in focus as well as less errors and aberrations across the lens. Analogous to HDTV versus standard definition TV. Upgrade can be added to any standard lenses (i.e clear, transitions, etc.)
